helping you plan a great vacation. Kinderhut is a Professional Ski Instructors of America affiliated
ski school and licensed Day Care Center located slopeside on Peak 9 in the Beaver Run Resort
in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Charles Merritt
Director
Charles started with Kinderhut in 1985 and became a part owner in 1990. He graduated with a bachalors degree in psychology and has gone on to fulfill the educational and experience requirements to serve as a Child Care Director in the sate of Colorado. He is a level 2 certified ski instructor with a children's accredidation. Charles is also an amature magician and can frequently be seen entertaining the children during breaks for their lessons. He keeps busy in his spare time with his wife and 2 daughters.
Craig Root

Craig has been with Kinderhut since 1989. He has a double major in Anthropology & Sociology. He spent numerous summers working as a forest ranger. He has a beautiful wife named, Lisa and two great children, Isabel & Wyatt who love coming to Kinderhut.

This is Dana's fifth season at Kinderhut, she works at the front desk as supervisor and the toddler room. She is orignally from Chicago's north shore and now lives here with her husband, Matt, who is also an employee at Kinderhut and their two boys.
"My two boys, Colton & Myles love coming to kinderhut. I enjoy helping out with the children whenever I can."

Kiersten has a BA in Outdoor Recreation and has worked in childcare for over 10 years. It's her fourth season at Kinderhut. She is happily married and has a little girl named Scout and is expecting her second in July.

This is Megan's third season at Kinderhut and now works at the front desk. She is a certified Recreation & Aquatic Therapist and enjoys working with children of all ages. Her son, Jennings, loves coming to Kinderhut and enjoys skiing too!!

Vanessa has been with Kinderhut since 1997 and now is the Infant/Toddler director. She has a degree in Early Children Education and keeps up to date on her continuing education. She is originally a KiwiLass from New Zealand and met her husband on the slopes.

Bert has a degree in Recreational Therapy from Central Missouri State University with an emphasis in child development. After completing an internship with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center(BOEC) Bert was hired as a course director working with people of all ages and abilities in adaptive outdoor programs. Bert is in his 4th season working at Kinderhut. He is currently assistant ski school director In his spare time he volunteers teaching adaptive ski lessons to disable athletes. He holds several Professional Ski Instuction Certifications as well as Advanced 1st Aid.
